The pre-jury for the 2022 Book Award, composed of professionals in the field of photography publishing, met mid-June at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie to study more than 700 applications from over 34 different countries, offering a rich and varied panorama of contemporary publishing and photographic practice.

For this 2022 edition, 78 works have been shortlisted, all categories included, and will be exhibited throughout the festival (until 25 September) in the space dedicated to the different publishing awards of the Rencontres in the Espace Van Gogh – so we invite you to take a look at our book and deep dive in Fortepan Masters' private photography selection.

In our category the jury awarded Rafaƚ Robert Slifkin's album titled Quitting your day job: Chauncey Hare's photographic work – congratulations to the artist and team behind this book!
